How many responses can I collect, and is there a cost per respondent?

Responses are basically unlimited and your account can be used to run surveys for months at a time. There is no charge for additional responses.

Survey-Hosting.com was built for surveys collecting less than 10,000 responses. There is no quota imposed on EZHost users that want to collect large numbers of responses. If you're allowing people to save and resume, or preloading data, your surveys will load faster when the total number of responses is kept within the recommended range. Standard EZHost accounts are given 20MB of storage space. This is more than enough space for several survey projects, graphics and HTML pages. A typical survey with 50 single-choice or weighted scale questions can collect over 30,000 responses before filling the storage space.

EZHost is flexible and will not close your survey when the space is used up. Instead, you will be notified via email with instructions on how to reduce the account size. Then, you can either close your survey or collect more responses in an fresh database.

How many questions can my web survey have, and is there a cost for additional questions?

EZHost accounts do not limit how many questions you can have in a single survey. Depending on the type of survey, the number of questions that you CAN ask is more than the respondent will be able to answer! As with responses, there is no extra charge for more questions.

EZSurvey's form editor will handle question counts into the hundreds. Survey-Hosting.com was built with the expectation that most survey have less than 250 questions. If you are considering having more than 250 questions in a single form, consider splitting the questionnaire into multiple survey forms. Long surveys are a "technical" possibility, but aren't very user friendly. Shorter surveys have a much higher completion rate and won't frustrate the respondent.

Is there a limit to how much survey respondents can write in "free form comments" or write-in questions?

There is no set limit as there is with most data collection tools. Popular database and reporting programs sometimes set the limit to 256 characters, so make sure you can analyses long responses before you collect them.

Are the surveys branded?

EZHost service at Survey-Hosting.com does not apply any branding to your surveys, and respondents aren't automaticlly redirected to our homepage at the end of the survey.

Can I personalize my online survey with my company name, logos and colors?

Yes, the flexibility of both Survey-Hosting.com and EZSurvey allow you to emphasize your corporate or organizational image.

Can I use backgrounds, pictures, graphics, and make custom survey introduction pages?

Yes, through the image management screen you can load graphics and extra HTML pages for use in the surveys. Add a page before as an introduction and after for a "thank you" message to participants.
